... Wherein An MSNBC Reporter Makes A Fool Of Herself

This one is hard to believe.  Hot Air has the video, and it's frankly astonishing.  Go have a look, I'll wait ...

(Jeopardy theme plays in background)

So a reporter on the increasingly laughable MSNBC mistakes an anti-Bush parody website  for serious commentary.  What's the problem?   Hmmm...

  • First, she clearly imagined that WhiteHouse.org was the actual White House site.  Or rather her producer was, and she was insufficiently informed to catch the mistake.
  • Second, she was apparently informed that it wasn't the real WhiteHouse.gov website, but couldn't muster a full retraction.  Why?  It's likely that she still thought that what she said was the truth.
  • Third, imagine a Fox News reporter, Carl Cameron perhaps, quoting an Iowahawk parody.  Maybe one, lampooning Sen. Ted Kennedy as if it were a recently uncovered letter from Sen. Kennedy's  personal papers.

MSNBC has got some 'splainin' to do about this one.
