A New Definition Of 'Moderate'

Moderate: (n) - An individual able to avoid assigning blame for the destruction caused by a natural disaster to one's political opponents, for partisan political gain, particularly while the event and its aftermath are still occurring.

Unfortunately there appear to be very few around lately.  Whom do you think Rep. Pelosi and Sen. Reid would blame if John Kerry were president?  I'm betting the devastation and deaths would be attributed to the forces of nature, and only the forces of nature.

Right now the Democrats are simply running around yelling "Michael Brown" and "FEMA" like they used to run around yelling "Dick Cheney" and "Halliburton" in the past.  Oh, wait, they're still doing that.

“You know there are two similarities that I see between Iraq and this hurricane,” Sen. Boxer says. “The administration didn't have a plan for either. And Halliburton will end up making billions of dollars for both.”

9/8/05 1300: Maybe the reason they're yelling "Michael Brown" and "FEMA" is that they can't easily yell "Bush" and "White House" and be taken seriously.  Well, except for Sen. Reid.
