That's the only thing you can say about Rep. Charlie Rangel (D-NY) after his comment comparing the current war in Iraq to the Holocaust, with the US playing the part of the Nazis. Arthur Chrenkoff has the details. The original story is here. Michelle Malkin suggests contacting Mr. Rangel's office.
At The Unalienable Right the editors note that Mr. Rangel is prone to histrionics, having previously equated tax cuts to racism. It should also be noted that his was the name on a bill to re-institute the draft, filed before the election in an attempt to tar Pres. Bush with a possible future draft risk.
In short, is he serving any useful function in Congress, or just taking up space and blowing hot air?
Lorie Byrd at PoliPundit writes:
I wonder if it occurred to Rangel that his question about what the world knew and his comments about those remaining silent could much more appropriately be applied to those who ignored what Saddam had been doing for so many years...
Did they know that Saddam was stealing billions from the Oil-for-Food program and was using the money to build dozens of lavish palaces? Did they know that Saddam was paying the families of suicide bombers and that he was harboring terrorists? Did they know that he was imprisoning the children of those who disagreed with him? Did they know that he was ordering the torture and murder of Iraqi citizens in a systematic way in prisons and torture chambers and rape rooms using methods which included throwing them off of buildings and into shredders and into packs of hungry dogs? Did they know that under Saddam, naked prisoners had been stacked in pyramids and photographed with hoods over their heads? Oh yeah, he didn’t do that. If he had done that, maybe Democrats would have broken their silence.
Paul Mirengoff also makes a good point.
The move here is first to assert that our government systematically is doing "terrible things" and then to accuse anyone who questions your assertion (or even fails to embrace it) of behaving like a Nazi or some other comparably odious historical villain de jour. The goal is to preempt discussion.

From your comment I see that it's, what, a war for oil by a lying war-mongering administration? A "reckless indifference to humanity?" Oh come on, now, you can do better than that. It's very hard to take seriously anyone who believes the Bushisanazi theory.
