Recent Giuliana Sgrena Developments

The bottom line on the event itself?  If the satellite information that set the speed of her car is accurate and the reporting on it is truthful, then she's been, in the words of Eddie Murphy, "lyin' her a** off."  Which wouldn't surprise me one bit.  Rusty at The Jawa Report believes that, regardless of the accuracy of the speed information (and he has his doubts) that has been the case.

Unfortunately the technology of editable PDFs appears to have given large amounts of classified information to the general public.  This is not a good thing, even if you are an anti-American American.

If the Italians let one anti-American writer from a communist newspaper sway public opinion so violently to the left that it forces Berlusconi to back away from the U.S. then that is certainly a tragedy.  Not a fatal one, but a tragedy nonetheless.

UPDATE: Kevin at Wizbang doubts the satellite story, along with Rusty.  He's read the unredacted pdf available and notes that satellite tracking is not mentioned, though it was reported here.  You'd think in the final report it would have been were it available and conclusive.
