Michelle Malkin notes a story that makes me think of the Lexington, MA controversy over the book "Who's In A Family." Nickolodeon is telling historical falsehoods to young viewers, apparently even when warned about it in advance. From the story on Yahoo News:
The latest shots in the Battle of the Alamo are being aimed at an unlikely target -- the children's cable TV network Nickelodeon.
Keepers of the Texas independence shrine in downtown San Antonio are outraged by a Nickelodeon short that said the 1836 battle there was fought so "white farmers could keep their slaves."
This is just another example, as the "Who's in a Family" scandal was, of leftwing and biased indoctrination bypassing the supervision of parents. Nickolodeon was even warned ahead of time (see Michelle's post for the details) and still ran with it.
Why is it that the PC left thinks they can indoctrinate/brainwash children without their parents knowledge? Are the political dynamics in the battle for the Alamo and Texas level-appropriate for watchers of Nickelodeon? Will a five or six year-old comprehend? Disgraceful.

I TOO GOT THE SAME E-MAIL FROM DR WINDERS THAT MICHELLE MALKIN DID. I ENCOURAGE OTHERS TO CALL THE TEXAS SENATORS AND GOVERNER AS I DID YESTERDAY. THEY REQUESTED THAT I FAX DR WINDERS RESPONSE TO THEIR OFFICE. GOV. PERRY AND KAY HUTCHINSON SEEMED PRETTY INTERESTED. IF YOU ARE AS OFFENDED AS I AM I ENCOURAGE YOU TO CALL THEIR OFFICES AND COMPLAIN UNTIL NICK. OFFERS AN APOLOGY. NICK WILL NOT LET YOU TALK TO A LIVE PERSON THEY JUST HAVE A COMMENT LINE.
THANKS
