I don't subscribe to the print edition of the Globe - never will, even though I in general enjoy the sports coverage. But I do occasionally check out what they say in the online columns.
Todays editorials and op-eds are as follows:
Fire Alarm - discussing a public safety issue, increasing response times to calls.
PreSchool As Cash Cow - discussing how the state really makes out when more kids attend preschool.
Defending the Arctic - a discussion of the ANWR and the possibility of oil drilling. Guess which side they come down on.
Don't use FDR to undermine Social Security - Guess what this one says
Co-opting Lincoln's sexuality - discussing the current kerfuffle over whether Lincoln was gay.
I'm kidding, right? Of course there's something, anything on the opinion pages about the Iraqi election. The "paper of record" in the area couldn't possibly ignore the huge story, and the votes of 8 or 9 million people in a nation getting its footing in pursuing democracy.
Sorry, I'm not kidding.
