Interesting, but now it's over. A good concluding statement by Bush, and he went last. Kerry, to his credit, was not as derisive of the president as his supporters have been and was articulate.
But despite criticizing Bush steadily on his conduct of the Iraq war he never really outlined (and really never has) what, if any, set of circumstances would have led him to war in Iraq? Especially since he has stated in the past that removing Saddam is necessary, and since he voted for Bush to have the authority to go to war? One more month of inspections? Two? A year? 18 resolutions? 19? 25? How many Security Council members have to be receptive to the idea before you'll go? Does it matter that the ones that won't are doing business with Iraq?
Both made points, and I'd be surprised if Kerry doesn't pick up a point or two - he managed to look Presidential.
